History
Bitrue launched in 2018 as an exchange built around altcoin trading. From day one the team focused on supporting a wide range of tokens, including projects from the Ripple and Cardano ecosystems. In 2019 the platform introduced Power Piggy, a feature allowing users to earn passive income through staking selected assets.
By 2021 Bitrue expanded into Asian markets and launched its own Launchpad for initial token listings. The exchange experienced rapid growth during the 2021 bull run, with trading volumes hitting all-time highs. In 2022 Bitrue added NFT support and fiat deposits through a partnership with Plaid.
In 2023 the platform faced temporary withdrawal issues due to heavy load but quickly restored normal operations. Today Bitrue remains a notable player in the altcoin segment, offering access to coins rarely found on larger exchanges.

Security
Bitrue employs a multi-layered security system including cold wallet storage with multi-signature protection. Two-factor authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator and SMS is available for all users. The platform conducts regular security audits and supports withdrawal address whitelisting. Bitrue has not published Proof of Reserves, which is a drawback in terms of transparency.
