History

Bequant was founded in 2019 in Estonia as an exchange focused on institutional clients and the B2B segment. The platform offers a White Label solution enabling other companies to launch their own crypto exchanges built on Bequant technology. The founders had backgrounds in traditional finance and fintech.

In 2020 Bequant launched its own spot trading platform with an API designed for professional traders. Margin trading and an OTC service for large deals were added in 2021. The platform also provides liquidity for partner exchange services and brokers.

As of 2025 Bequant maintains its niche B2B status with a limited but loyal client base. The exchange does not pursue mass retail adoption, focusing instead on quality service for professional users.
